Introduction to the 2013 Shenzhen International Electronic Equipment Industry Expo in China

The Pearl River Delta and Shenzhen region are global electronic manufacturing hubs dominated by electronic product production. The massive production and trade of electronic products have spurred the rapid development of the electronic equipment industry, creating a huge market and demand for electronic equipment supporting industries in the Pearl River Delta. At present, the electronic equipment industry in the Pearl River Delta has also become a major manufacturing, research and development, and trade hub for global electronic equipment. There are nearly 10000 manufacturing enterprises, with an annual output value of 300 billion yuan and a total sales and trade volume of nearly 100 billion US dollars.

Among them, there are more than 2800 manufacturing enterprises specializing in the electronic equipment industry in Shenzhen, with an annual output value of nearly 160 billion yuan. There are also more than 5000 supporting production enterprises, such as power accessories, production materials, control systems, testing equipment, etc. A city has the manufacturing capacity and supply conditions of all links in the industry chain, which is very rare in all cities around the world. Nowadays, Shenzhen's electronic equipment industry is at the forefront of the world in manufacturing, research and development, sales, and import and export trade.

The electronic equipment industry is the foundation of electronics and high-end manufacturing, but for a long time, there has been no professional electronic equipment industry expo or exhibition and trading platform that can cover the entire industry image and global advanced technology worldwide. Therefore, relevant national departments and the Shenzhen Municipal Government attach great importance to it, and leaders at all levels have clearly expressed their strong support for holding the China (Shenzhen) International Electronic Equipment Industry Expo in Shenzhen.
